Home Page > Archivio delle notizie > Notizia Aid in favour of Funiviaria Alto Tirreno Spa (Italy)The European Commission has decided to propose appropriate measures to Italy under Article 88(1) of the EC Treaty concerning aid granted to Funiviaria Alto Tirreno Spa, a company which manages and operates a transport infrastructure and, at the same time, carries out cargo handling activities. The Italian government is requested to cease the covering of Funiviaria's losses deriving from the cargo handling activities and any excessive aid for the infrastructure, and therewith comply with EU law by 1 May 2000.
