GIURISPRUDENZALawAcademic Year 2022/2023

56884 - DIRITTO INTERNAZIONALE PRIVATO

Teacher: Pasquale PIRRONE

Course Structure

The course will be carried out by “ex-cathedra” lessons and the analysis, within the class, of some cases drawn from the relevant case-law, concerning the three main problems that Private International Law presents.

Should teaching be carried out in mixed mode or remotely, it may be necessary to introduce changes with respect to previous statements, in line with the programme planned and outlined in the syllabus.

Learning assessment may also be carried out on line, should the conditions require it.

Detailed Course Content

The course deals with litigating disputes in international civil and commercial cases and the tree main problems that these disputes present: Which country’s courts have jurisdiction? Which country’s law will the court apply? If a successful plaintiff cannot find enough local assets, what does it take to have the judgment recognized and enforced in a country with assets?
