The course will be divided into frontal teaching lessons held by the teacher. On some specific topics, Italian and foreign scholars may be invited to hold seminars capable of offering targeted insights. If the teaching is given in mixed or remote mode, due to the Covid-19 emergency, the necessary changes with respect to what was previously stated may be introduced, in order to comply with the program envisaged and reported in the Syllabus
Learning assessment may also be carried out on line, should the conditions require it.
The course focuses mainly on the relevance of the religious phenomenon in the Italian and supranational order, with particular reference to the countries of the European Union and the system of the European Convention on Human Rights. The teaching outlines the different systems of relations between state organizations and confessional communities, in the light of the principle of secularism as a response to the social and legal issues emerging from religious pluralism and multiculturalism.
